Kechi Nomu
Kechi Nomu is a Nigerian writer and poet. Her writing has appeared in Boston Review, Electric Literature, Poetry Society of America, Ploughshares (blog), Cosmonauts Avenue, and elsewhere. Her essay was named a notable piece in Best American Essays 2020 and in 2019 she was named a semifinalist for the Aura Estrada Short Story Prize. Her poems have been featured in the Kunstenfestivaldesarts’ The Diasporic Schools project. She is currently a recipient of the Stein/Brodey Fellowship at NYU where she is completing an MFA in poetry.
